Welcome Michael, like you I was new to gardening when I came on here a few months ago. I had tried bits and pieces, growing things in pots and failed miserably. Thanks to all the help and support......and patience......from the lovely people on here I now have a greenhouse full of veg plants, a veg patch almost full of veg plants, 2 fantastic new borders and lots of flowers on plants that had stopped flowering. So basically, you are in the right place....although you may find us a bit bonkers
Hi Michael, that looks a lovely space with lots of scope for a variety plants, looks nice and sheltered, hopefully that wall and trees are not blocking out the sun, they are a friendly bunch on here, i see you have met the queen of bonkers already..

I'm very new too, and found visiting charity shops and second hand book shops for cheap books fantastic. As is your library a free mine of information. I do find myself asking the lovely folk here for a lot of help identifying things I keep finding that I have no idea wh?? they are.
Don't be afraid to ask questions. No matter how silly you might think it is. Everyone here, as advanced as they are now, have been a beginner once too!
Hi Michael, I too am new to the forum and to new to gardening - well new in the sense of taking it up seriously as a hobby. As Orchid Lady has said the folks on here are wonderful, and so willing to give lots of fantastic help and advice.
Well I'm not bonkers!
Welcome from me too
Have to admit to thinking you had some interesting shaping to your conifers and then realised it was your awning!!
That shows how bonkers I am
We are a friendly bunch and like a bit of challenging debate at times!
No question is too daft and, even if you don't have the skills to identify when you start, keep reading all the posts and soon you'll be identifying them too

I was wondering what that wiggly thing was at the top

That's coming from the man who has his rear sticking up on his avatar.....now that's bonkers
Only because we seem to get on so well that we ....not me, of course.....are a tad silly at times.
You mean we don't really get on well Verdun...just seem to
