I used to grow bearded irises in my garden in Hants, but here in North Devon, no chance. They're beautiful Lisa.

Wow!  Beautiful irises.  I love the chocolate coloured one - I couldn't think of an appropriate word to describe the colour.  What is it?  It's lovely.

Fantastic!  I love our irises, but they need some serious attention before they will look like yours - going to divide as soon as they have finished flowering, cos they are all clogged up.  You have inspired me to collect a few more!

I'll be splitting them and clearing their bed this year for the first time, I'm a bit nervous about doing it but some of the older ones are getting congested. They are so tall this year, the white ones are 4 foot and have survived the wind. I'd like a really strong red but will have to do a bit of research as to where to get one.
