Hello. Over the past few weeks i've had weeds similar to the one in the picture sprouting up literally everywhere. Could anyone enlighten me as to what they are please and how to get rid?

Sadly it's horsetail. Lots of threads on here about it.
It's one of the oldest plants on the planet so I find it fascinating, but it is a proper bugger.
Pull it up wherever you see it to weaken it, unfortunately it is extremely difficult if not impossible to eradicate completely.
Trample it to bruise it and spray with glyphosate, more than once;
