Green Gage

I recently bought a green gage from a tree supplier, its potted up and seemed perfectly happy (with new leaves and plenty flowers)...until a week ago I noticed some of the leaves and flowers have gone from the middle of the branches.

Looking at it, it resemmbles a goosegog when sawfly have eaten all the leaves.

I have looked at it and can't really see anything other that the leaves curling under on themselves, then they drop off. I have watered as instructed and I have now started to mist it wilh water, which seems to have slowed down the process.

Any ideas of what might be causing the problem.
