Hardening off and true leaves

Not sure if this observation is correct or not but it seems like the seedlings I have that has develped true leaves seems to be easier to harden off. Is there any truth in this you think?

I would say so, makes sense to me. The seedlings with true leaves would just be a bit older & stronger so a bit tougher too

I don't move seedlings on till they've developed at least one set of true leaves.

As Hollie-Hock says, the more mature they are, the better they will cope.
