sloping garden need help

hi all image needing advise we have a small rectangle garden which slopes half grass half red chips i want it all gone i would like half decking and half slabs the problem is the slope ! do we dig it all out so its flat or build decking up one end ? plz help

    Do you have a photo ? Hard to tell with out seeing it, do you have neighbours on both sides, if so when you dig out you may have to build  retaining walls. 

    If you look on Pinterest and type in terraced gardens there are lots of photos on there to give you ideas.

    How big is the height difference between the top and the bottom and how long is the garden?  How high are boundary walls and/or fences?  What's your budget and expertise?

    It's perfectly possible to build up decking to quite a height but that will leave a lot of space underneath to lose things through the gaps left fro drainage and you should also bear in mind that critters like rats and foxes just love the shelter decking provides for housing and breeding.

    Just a thought. If you are on good terms with your neighbours, it may be a good idea to check that they won't mind you being able to see into their garden if the decking gets really high?
