Does anyone know what flowers these are (im a garden newbie) and also what species as id like to get the seeds (simply love teh purple one)
look like a new type of dahlia, but they are stunning ,like those.
Cactus dahlia, tubers are more reliable than seeds.

These are beautiful! And I am usually not a fan of dahlias. Does anyone know if bees like these as I am trying to attract bees into my garden.
Not really -well not the cactus type ones you see in the picture-they will be interested in the single or semi-double- flower ones like "bishop of landaff" and "bishops chidren"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://apps.rhs.org.uk/plantselector/plant?plantid=621- tubers are avaiable

I find that the bees like any dahlia where the centre is open. So they would like the white ones in the photo, but it's not clear with the purple ones. Earwigs would like them as well
