Help please - is this shrub a Daphne?

    Thanx nutcutlet - really? That's interesting - so now what I thought was one will need to be reassessed!! When it come into flower I'll post a photo.

    There are other weigelas. There's one with very dark purplish leaves and plain green ones. Have you got one of those

    Daphne is early flowering and very scented. This is like the one I have.

     

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
