Found this growing under one of my laurel trees. Anyone know what it is please?

Could it be from this tree over my fence, the leaves do look similar?

    MrsGarden, I'm not sure, I think a nasty , but I always say if in doubt yank it out, put in a pot and see.  image

    I think I agree with Mark- is the newest part of the stem fuzzy?

    I was convinced mine was a cotoneaster until I ripped a leaf off it before to compare   with another.

    Mines a self seed so I might have a scout round the neighbourhood... image

    Although the way the flowers hang does look like the cornubia Hostafan just suggested... image
