going on holiday

Advice please.  Going on holiday on Tuesday, and my dahlias are big plants but still in greenhouse.  As we have now planted up the tomatoes and cucumbers there is not a lot of room left.

I live on the east coast and looking at the long range forecast, I can't see any frost.

Shall I take a chance and put them in the ground, daughter is doing the watering but she,s not a gardener, and I wonder if they would be safer in the ground rather than being crammed into the greenhouse.

Would be so grateful for your thoughts.

I'd leave them in the greenhouse myself, just in case. Frost last night, and I guess it may be another week or two until we're out the woods with more frosts and I don't trust weathermen!!  Hope you have a great holiday image

Why not plant them out and show your  daughter how to put a fleece over them if frost is forecast, if not plant then at least in a sheltered place and fleece them at night.

Thanks for replying.  I had wondered about putting them in the ground and covering with fleece at night.
