Daffodil and Tulip Bulbs
Hi. I've been forced to dig up a border full of daffodil and tulip bulbs which unfortunately have not yet died down properly due to impending building work. I tried to disturb them as little as possible and lift them with as much soil around them as I could and have put them into deep pots to hopefully dry off. Does anyone have any idea what I should do with them once the tops have died back? Do I leave them in the pots or tip them out and dry them off? Any suggestions please?

It depends what you're planning to do with them. If you want to replant them as clumps, just leave them in the pots until you want them. Leave the tulip pots in the sun, the daffodils anywhere out of the way.
If you want to replant individual bulbs, you can get the tulips out as soon as flowering is over and let them dry off, plant them later in the year.
Daffodils should be left in the pots until the leaves have died down completely, then get them out promptly as they will start to grow roots again in no time.
All will benefit from liquid feed while still in growth.
The previous poster has covered just about everything - I'd just like to pick up on your point that you're leaving them to dry off. Don't do that; keep them watered and fed until the leaves die off of their own accord, or they won't have the chance to put energy back into the bulbs and form next year's flowers.
