Hi everyone, can someone identify this for me? I planted it a while ago and I can't remember what it was! Need some labels lol
Oxalis tetraphylla "Iron Cross"
Yep Oxalis, should have pretty pink flowers
Daniel............it is a hardy perennial so shouldn't need too much TLC.............mine are showing through now ...........lovely red flowers.
If you like it, it is easy to divide as it produces little "bulbs" which can be potted on separately .........altogether a nice little plant
..but if you let oxalis get out of hand you'll never get rid of it! Those bulbils get everywhere! Or maybe the cultivated ones are less invasive?
I'd be surprised if that one got out of hand.
so this will live for two years straight through without dying back??
I'm new to growing really as this is my first season with my cold frame and I'm very happy with the (little) results
It should live for years Daniel but it will die back in winter
another question, i have a hosta growing right next to it (you can just about see it on the photo) will that die back and will they be ok so close to each other??
