growing inbetween fruit trees

can i grow radishes and spring onions in between my plum and apple trees

Don't see why not.  Neither is particularly demanding so shouldn't harm the trees.  Whether they'll have enough light when the trees get their leaves is another matter, but theu might be glad of a bit of shade in high summer.
