When growing seeds (flowers) in a greenhouse in April is it necessary to cover with a propagator ? I live in SE England, growing zinnias, sweet peas, dahlias. Greenhouse not heated.
I use propagator lids to protect my seedlings when frost is forecast - but you could do the job with fleece. I just find the lids quite quick and handy, and don't risk crushing the babies

Propagator will speed up germination but they are not absolutely necessary. I would sow sweet peas direct in the soil now however.
