Off to the Newark Garden Show tomorrow
It's finally nearly here, the weekend I've been waiting for for ages. It's the Newark Garden Show at the showground and I've been saving my pennies. The forecast is rubbish but I'll be there with my wellies and waterproofs treating myself to whatever takes my fancy until my pocket money runs out. And they have a dog show on at the same place and time so my two favourite things in one place. Life is good!!! Happy weekend everyone!

Oh Potters - don't tempt me!! Newark is only about 35 mins from here.....! Am thinking of going to the GW Live show in June, but will be on my tod!
I do, and five pounds is not unreasonable (yes - I've already googled!!). However, I have to drive to Horncastle and back (which will take two hours from here) to take teenage son to the start of his D of E practice expedition
, then some junior wrangling with the littlies, and then I need, if possible, to do a bit of work on one of my hives - can't do it in the rain though, so who knows! I can buy plants in the rain, can't I!!
Sounds like you have a busy day planned! I have no idea what junior wrangling is but it's not great weather for your son to do his DofE, but I'm sure he'll have fun whatever the weather. You can't beat being outside and tea tastes so much better when you're camping.
The thing is though Busy, you have to virtually drive past the showground to get back to Notts from Horncastle.....it would be a real shame not to "pop" in
.
No, I live in Lincolnshire, not Notts. And other direction. Junior wrangling is entertaining the foster children!! Would quite happily bring foster daughter, but not both of them because I don't have eyes in the back of my head. She is a natural gardener, but he has a short attention span. But if I take one and not the other, it becomes problematic. Own son is going to get wet - ouch! And I find that the teens these days don't even drink tea and coffee, just gallons of orange juice and water, and Lucozade Sport when they can justify it by playing a match!! Will maybe consider if darling hubbie agrees to deal with foster son.
