Unknown shrub
Hi folks, I have just moved into a house which has a very mature garden and I am trying to identify what flowers/shrubs I have inherited. One in particular is a shrub as described above and as shown in the pic. It stands alone and there is a separate section that is coming through my beech hedge. Hope someone can help.
Thanks

It looks to me like one of the single forms of Kerria japonica

the double form, Kerria japonica Pleniflora is more commonly seen, but the single is charming. The link gives details of how to prune it to show it at it's best.
I would agree with Dove, and lucky you to have the single form
Thanks Dfa and artjak, it looks very vibrant with its rich looking flowers poking through the beech hedge. Lucky me having the single
