On line Plant identification

CyCy Posts: 4

Hi firstly I am new to this sort of thing,  forums etc and I expect to get it wrong but there goes.  I have taken over a garden and am busily trying to identify several 'plants'. I have looked on line for a definitive tree/shrub identification site and as yet not found a 'good' one. Can anyone please point me in the right direction, or offer advice as where/how I might get what I am looking for. I have been to several nurseries' with a specimen and can find no one who can identify it. HELP!

First of all, post pictures here and we'll try to help. There are some very knowledgeable people on this site.

You could also try iSpot, it's really for wild plants but lots of the folks on there are good at garden plants as well.

To post pics on here click on the green tree icon on the toolbar above where you type your post, and follow the instructions.

It took me ages to find that out so I often point it out to others. image
