Magnolia

 My magnolia is in bloom already. Is that normal? The leaves aren't even out properly yet.

    I agree, mine have nearly finished flowering image

    Is that Magnolia 'Susan'? Mine died last yearimage Lovely to see one doing so well.

    Thanks for that. I wasn't sure. I don't know what variety it is but I agree the colours are stunning. It was already here when we moved in so we're very lucky image

    Hi Lulu. Looks very similar in habit and colour to the magnolia I planted a few years ago called George Henry Kern. I've included a pic taken a couple of days ago for comparison.

    I chose this one because of it's relatively compact habit and approx height of 9ft max. Of course, there are many different styles and you may have something entirely different.....just looks quite similar. Good luck narrowing it down image
