Can anyone help identify this plant? Two self seeded last year, I pulled one but let the other grow (with anticipation) but I can not identify it!
I hope this uploads okay - Any help appreciated, I do not know whether to let it be or not!
It looks like Clematis pitcheri to me.
Thanks National Treasure, figrat and Celtic_Charmer, all three of your suggestions crossed my mind but I could not find anything definite to identify it. I suppose the only thing I can do is to wait and see if it flowers.
Clematis - the wild Old Man's Beard sort that you see in the hedgerows, I think. (I have it in my front garden, and it's a bit of a thug tbh).
National treasure it looks like you were right - I sent a photo to a friend at a major garden centre and he said it was an evergreen honeysuckle called Lonicera Hallian - Thank you!
