Scotch bonnets help
in Fruit & veg
Hey guys I've been growing some scotch bonnets since December in doors, and moved the outside a few weeks ago but they appear to have started wilting, so a couple of days ago i changed the pots over as they where filling out to much for the pots, and put some better compost in the new pot for it, but the plant still appears to be wilting
The compost i changed them to is gro sure all purpose peat free.

They are hothouse plants, grows in the Maldives and carabean, i wouldnt think they would like to be outside in our freezing night time temperatures
what should i do about it wilting then?? and will it be ok because i changed the pot over and put new soil in?
Have you brought them back indoors? I hope so.
They will perish outside if you have a frost or even lowish temperatures - they are even more tender than tomatoes!
yeah of course as you can see in the picture
i got worried because i didn't want to lose them!
Great
I wasn't clear whether the photo was before they went out or after. They'll be much happier now they're back indoors - I wouldn't put chillies outside until mid June.
Enjoy them when you get your harvest
I have Scotch Bonnets amongst others in my unheated greenhouse. Minimum temp so far has been 3-4c and the plants havent batted an eyelid.
I can even see the first flower bud forming on one of my plants, I must say that my greenhouse warms up very quickly in the morning due to its location so maybe this helps.
awesome thanks for the support guys! i hope they're gonna be ok!
my birds eye chillies i've already got 2 ready to harvest!
