Bindweed in the lawn!

I've had success with controlling bindweed in the beds, and actually quite enjoy getting it out!

However I've just realised there is a large patch of it in my lawn. My lawn is not the best, lots of moss etc, though I'm not too bothered by it. But I don't want it to be taken over with bindweed!

Any suggestions? Any hope of keeping it organic, or am I going to have to go for chemicals?

Bindweed does its damage by climbing up other plants and overcoming them. If you keep mowing that can't happen

  • Hmm. Looks like it might actually be ground elder, looking into it. I'd thought it was bindweed as leaves look similar, and the roots are definitely 'binding'!
