Yellow/orange maple

Hi all

Can anyone tell me what the maple is (I'm assuming its an acer of some description) that  currently has lovely orangey/yellow leaves?

They seem to be a really common garden tree here in Manchester, and put on a real show at this time, but it bugs me every year that I don't know what it is. Please put me out of my misery!

    I can think of a couple. There is one called acer pseudoplanatus 'Brilliantissimus' that always catches my eye in spring, but I would describe its leaves more like yellow / salmon pink. The pink colour fades by summer. I used to have one many years ago but the young leaves can get  scorched by spring frosts and can look tatty thereafter. Mine was in an exposed spot so my fault. I have seen quite a few in front gardens - trained as a standard with a large ball of branches pruned each year to encourage more young leaves in spring. 

    I have one called acer cappadocicum aureum that has gold/  yellow leaves with red edges in spring, but I don't think it's that common. I grew mine from seed.

    Thank you Gold1locks, I'm pretty sure it's Acer pseudoplatanus "Brilliantissimum". My description was rubbish! I may need an eye test!     image

    Acer Palmatum "Orange Dream" has golden yellow leaves. Our daughter has a splendid specimen of this in her garden, looking wonderful at the moment. We have a tiny one (bought in Morrisons for a couple of quid) that I hope will be as good one day. If you google for that you'll see if it's what you're after,
