I Wonder if Anyone Could Help Me...

bougiebougie Posts: 9

Hello, I'm new to this forum, so please forgive me if I am going about this the wrong way,,,,,,,

I Am trying to identify a plant that I saw on a television program this evening.....

It is about 2 ft tall, has rather spindly silver/grey/green stem and foliage, and littledark pinky red flowers.   I used to have some in my garden in England, but never did know the name of them.  Does my description ring a bell with anyone?

Would be very appreciative of any information given.

Thank You

A quick google suggests Lychnis Coronaria. What do you think?

Bougie, which tv programme was it?  Maybe we noticed it too - or we could look again on iplayer or whatever and see if we can spot it.

Or, was it a French tv programme?

I must say, it does sound quite like Verdun's suggestion of the Lychnis

Thank you all so much,,,,,  sorry I didn't get back to you all sooner, but I have been tucked up in bed with hot water bottles, Lemsip (or my own version nd decongestant!! Just surfaced for a little while before going back.

I didn't see the beginning of the program so not sure what it was called, but it was about a beautiful old house near Leicester, and the man who designed the gardens if that is any help?  Sorry but not  been very alert over the last few days.

I will go away now and follow the link Dovefromabove has given me and come back to you all a little later on.

Once again, many thanks to you all.
