Spotted Laurel black patches / spots

Hi,

Think this is my first post!

I have had a spotted laurel that was originally in a pot but a year ago I transplanted it into a permanent home. Unfortunately the leaves are discolouring and turning black. Last year I destroyed all the affected leaves but it has come back again.

Can anyone recommended me a remedy please?

I think this usually indicates erratic irrigation. Usually when it dries out then gets very wet again.

    Hi Mattbeer87

It's in quite a damp patch of the garden though, and in actual fact it had the problem in the pot too?

    Thanks

I did a quick search and it indicates being in too wet/cold soil over the Winter.

It should recover but maybe it would be a good idea to dig it up and replant it with some grit added to the drainage hole?

    Hi,

I was thinking of moving it, I could give that a go.

    Thanks

When you move it remove all the affected leaves, then incorporate a good amount of Compost and Grit into the hole, this should improve the overall condition of the plant tenfold image
