help please :)
Hi, I have at the moment a very overgrown graden (inherited), I have gravel that has been completely over grown by weeds and a week off work and want to get stuck in, however I don't know where or how to start. My plan was to start by pulling up weeds up that I could but then do I dig and turn over the gravel to get rid of the rest?? Please please help !! My budget is minimal !! Advice given will be much appreciated
thanks in advance x

Hi Becky
I think your plan of action is on the right track. When you pull up the weeds you'll find out whether there's a membrane of some sort under the gravel.
I'd also try to 'sweep' as much gravel off as you can and collect it somewhere - then you need to decide what you want to do with the garden - do you want to create some beds and a lawn, or re-instate the gravel but with some beds around the edge - have a think, let us know and we can give you a bit more help.
It would be helpful to know which way your garden faces, and if you have any idea of soil type etc. and a photo or two of the space would help us to understand what you're dealing with.
