That's amazing!
Wow..you must be pleased with your work. It's impressive.
Watch out with the toms, the frost is returning this week.
Thanks for all your good comments. Its taken me 6 months of back breaking digging to turn this piece of waste land at the bottom of my garden into something productive.
I started my tom's off indoors last December under lights, they have been living in my greenhouse for the last month. I grew them from seeds I got out of the large beef tom's from Tesco's. I'm just fed up with paying 75p for one tomato.
Looks like you will be able to sell some back to Tesco's
I think i've found what looks to be my first tom of the year. Hmmmmm! lovely
Have you kept a record of the costs? The lights and power involved, and heating as well as compost etc - I'd be really interested in how much it actually costs to produce a tomato
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
First tomato already?! Gosh you really have been working hard I'm amazed!
As Dove said I'd be curious to know the costs - I did try to keep a log of money myself, but then I got distracted by something shiny
Blimey - I thought I had jumped the gun with mine (which are now like triffids on the annexe windowsill
) but am I right in thinking your greenhouse is heated Rusty??
