You're not giving us much to go on, tom, but reasons for tall spindly tomato seedlings include:  Too much warmth after germination, not enough light, use of fertilizer too early in their life.  Are any of those a possibility?

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

As Bob, says, not enough light or too much heat will make them lanky. Repot into next size pot and bury the stem well. It will grow additional roots from the stem, but make sure it has enough light.

  • thank you both very much. too much heat probably right .will move to a cooler room.Tom
