Aww man! Seedlings...
Somethings been at my seedlings! i put them in the garden wednesday for a drink a spot of sunbathing, and then popped them into my plastic greenhouse. I've just checked them & something's eaten all the leaves on them! I've just got stalks left...
Its munched half my zinnias & had a good go at four tomato seedlings and my petunias... The next cells along are fine!
Is there any hope for the leafless ones or should I jettison them?

If they've eaten below the seed leaves, then there's no chance.
Something was starting on some seedlings in the conservatory, I poked around and found a small snail clinging to the side of a pot... bas...rd, he became a flying snail...to the field next door
Snail hurling is quite a sport in these here parts

love it...my wonderful cleaning lady in London used to bag up her snails and take them to the BBC park (that's probably why they moved their operations to Salford) I believe that snails will return from a fair old distance...I'm hoping that the hurling well...kind of...KILLS THEM!
I suppose snails that have been hurled over the fence might be being hurled back to you.
I have a vision of snails whizzing through the air back and forth over fences in the British Isles.
I need a like button for Forester2's Post
They tend not to return after being clobbered with a spade
lol this thread did make me giggle!
Oh I'm glad it's not just me that lobs snails! Mine go over the fence into next doors (it's a weed infested hovel btw!). My attitude is munch on her weeds not my expensive plants.
Actually I did find a couple of bigger snails last week having a go at a geranium I also had in there (on the third shelf!). They duly got lobbed but I suppose they could have left me a gift of babies!
All this chucking snails about is all very well (and i've done my fair share) but see this and this. Unsurprisingly, there's a misprint; the maximum homing distance is given aas 10m; should be 100m!!
