    To me it looks like a tradescantia, or a tricyrtis image

  • Thanks Ryan, I have googled both of them and been on Rhs and it could be the tradescantia. I appreciate the photo I have put on perhaps isn't the best. But thanks a lot for commenting I really appreciate it image

    I think Valerian, Centranthus ruber, not valeriana.

    Valeriana officinalis, yes. In theory. Never tried it. Don't know whether to chew the leaves flowers or roots.

    I have bought it ready done from the health food shop in the past although thankfully haven't needed it recently.  I think you can make tea from it but not 100% sure image

    I believe it's the roots, it was on Midsomer Murders a couple of months ago image

    I find if I come off mobile devices at least an hour before bed then I sleep really well......obviously that isn't  happening tonight but then I never sleep well when OH is away image
