Fuchsia pruning
I have just moved into a new home, and there are 2 beautiful fuchsias planted in the garden. Both are massive (well over a meter tall and wide), and I would like to cut them back quite a lot. From reading various sites, now is the time of year to do it, but because of the mild winter we have had, not only are both plants covered in fresh leaves, but both are flowering. Should I leave these plants alone for this year, or would it still be ok to cut them back hard?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Absolutely agree with Verdun - go ahead and do it. Then give them a sprinkling of Fish Blood and Bone and a mulch of well-rotted farmyard manure or good compost - they'll be fantastic
