Is this really a Magnolia Red Lucky?
I bouth a Magnolia Red Lucky last year from Thompson-Morgan and it just come into flower but instead of being red pink it is yellow. I think I have been sold the wrong bare rooted specimen. Here is what my flowers look like.

They look nothign like the ones on the T&M site
It is mildly scented too. If it is not a Red Lucky, what on earth is it?

Just been on their site and it looks spookly like a magnolia - yellow river. Still looks nice though.

I think you are bang on the money! I wanted the other one because of its ability to flower twice a year. So what to do now. Write and complain?
Yup. Like marshmello, I think the one you've got is lovely, but the point is it's not what you bought. Or you thought you bought. Have you got any records of the purchase?
I find Thompson-Morgan very fair and helpful when I have had a problem relating to items purchased.
I have an order number from when I bought it. I emailed them at the same time as I posted this asking them if this was the wrong plant giving them the photos and the order number. I agree with Figrat it is a rather nice plant but it is not what I wanted. Lets see what they say.
Its their mistake, I definitley would be getting in contact with them. I hope they send out the right plant, this time - fingers crossed !!!
Got an email from the on Monday and they are sending me a new one plus an e-voucher for ten quid. Now I need to figure out what to squander that on. Pity you cant use it for postage and package.
Nice one !!
And you get to keep the first one???
YES! Only problem now is that I don't really know where to plant it. Luxury problem!
