mothers day flowers
As its mother's day tomorrow I thought I'd make a plan for next year. At the moment the only flowers suitable for cutting in my garden are beautiful daffodils. Next year I'd like to try and put more of a bouquet together for my mum, all from my garden. So my question is : what else will flower around this time which is also suitable for cutting? What have your gardens got in flower at the moment? Thank you, I can't wait go read your ideas. Happy mother's day. X

What a lovely idea MrsG. Unfortunately all I have is daffs and tulips. Forsythia and kerria are also in flower. My hellebores are too. The other ones are tiny such as forgetmenots and primroses and a blue flower I can't remember the name of. Will have to look it up
Mascari.....grape hyacinth...found it
Thanks both of you. I could maybe ,borrow, some forsythia from a nice neighbour but wouldn't plant it. y muscari aren't out yet.Forcing freesias sounds like a good plan, or indeed other flowers too. Any one got adive on how / when to do this? Or any others in bloom in gardens now? Doesn't look too promising, didn't come up with much when I googled it either.
I've got this in bloom, not sure how though! Don't think anyone has told it winter has been!
My tulips in the ground are up. Ones in pots are all leaf no flowers - yet!
Don't think that'll help though. Soz!
It'd look nice on it's own as a single stem in a vase Panda
Oh, ....my mascari are in flower, MrsG.
Mine too Lily, and have been for a while
But I live in the sunny South East
One of my customers has osteospermums flowering which I put in last summer all different colours. Also one of them has freesia in flower. I think in 4thPanda's photo they look like osteospermums.
