Immediately after marrying, my wife & I moved into a tied cottage at the Field Study Centre near Pembroke. Known to everyone as "Hitchcock's Cottage", it had used to be the residence of the head gardener for the Orielton Estate. Nothing of real value ever emerged from my diggings in the garden (over a twelve year period), but the quantity of broken & whole Johnnie Walker whisky bottles did reveal a certain 'penchant' re: recreational drinking habits of its previous tenants!!

AWB - I lose secateurs and find them months later, in need of lots of TLC. Ditto the odd trowel so losing keys is easy.
