Carrots & Parsnips Companion Planting?

in Fruit & veg
Yesterday I sowed some seeds in my tiny veg patch. Today I read about companion planting and found out that I have done it all wrong by planting carrots & parsnips right next to each other! Should I leave them as they are or attempt to dig up the seeds to reseed them elsewhere? Why is this such a problem & has anyone successfully grown the two together?

Leave them and surround them with a net at least 90cm tall, this will keep carrot fly from ruining your crop, should they be a problem in your area.
I personally don't bother with companion planting.
I have a root vegie bed and plant carrots and parsnips next to each other year after year without any problems.
I grow carrots and parsnips next to each other with no problems. The only problem you may find is carrot root fly, we have a problem with these on our site. Companion planting can work apparently, but you have to have the ratio of carrot/onion family at 1:4 for it to be successful. I'd leave yours as they are and see what happens, you may not have carrot root fly in your area.
