Electric propergator question

My propergators are the kind that have no regulator on them so I can't change the temperature setting. Having sown some seeds and placed the trays in the propergators I am wondering if I should lift/remove the lids during the day as it's quite hot in the greenhouse, currently 34. I do have foam type shading so the trays are not in direct sunlight and there is plenty of light getting in. Im just concerned that they will be far to hot and not germinate. Many thanks.

I switch them off during the day and back on in the evening. Same as the electric fan heater.

  • Most propagators have manual openings on the top of the lids. If yours has, open them up during hot weather.
