Is it time to prune my red robin?

Hi All,
With this forums help last help I got about 50 red robin planted, and although they wheren't the best specimens they have all taken well. My goal is to create a bushy, medium ish sized hedge so want to know whether to do any pruning at this stage?
As you can see in the first photo, a number of the plants have a long growth of branch on one side - i'm worried whether i need to cut these right back at all to create the bushyness long term?
In general what should my strategy be for these coming months and the year please?
Some of the others are much more bushy, and may need a different approach to the long ones:
Finally, I know the beds need weeding, bark and weed sheets arrive this week
