Cherry Tree
in Fruit & veg
Hello, I planted a Tesco (not self-fertile) White Heart cherry tree last year & it has over a dozen flowers & there are at least another 2 dozen buds. Should I allow it to fruit this year or should I remove all the flowers & buds or maybe only leave a few flowers & buds? There is a cherry tree in my neighbours garden so I presume it will help mine to bear fruit but I'm not sure if it should in the first year.

It doesn't really matter, bearing a few fruit won't do it any harm. You may find that the tree drops the fruit on its own in the next few weeks.
Thank you very much, Alina W, I'll se how it goes. Cheerio. SusanMBE (aka waxlow)
