I'm having problems uploading photos as well. Have just posted this on the bug site.

I'm having problems uploading pictures from my PC. I keep getting the message that **.jpg is not a valid file type. The files are all < 1mB. I'm running IE 8. I suppose I could load them onto photobucket and then past in the link, but it's a bit confusing as I can't see why they're not recognised. Have clicked on other poster's photos, and they all seem to be straightforward .jpg format. Also had no problem uploading my avatar photo from my PC.

Try opening an Imageshack account (it's free) upload from your computer to there, 640 x 480 is an ideal size. You can then copy and paste the link directly into your post on here. Oddly you may need to change the code that reads IMG from capital letters to lower case. If you don't do this, you may well get the dreaded white box with Red X.

hey think I've just cracked it pam.

When you get the insert image box, from the green tree icon, choose external site option and paste photobucket link in there.

Lily Louise are you using 'photobucket'?

If you are open each individual picture up to full size.

Hold your cursor on the picture and a drop down menu will appear.

Click on it and you will get a list of sizes to choose from.

    I find 640 x 480 a useful size!
