Standard Roses

in Plants
I have just received three bare rooted Standard Roses and would like advice on planting i.e. knuckle above soil level ?, staking, compost, position etc.. Alternatively can anyone point to the Gardeners World Magazine that explains this as I have the last 18 months of the Magazine to hand.
