Ooh Dove, will have a proper look later and send for those. Also seen some agapanthus, but not sure of size because they are cheap,. Have you ever bought things from them

I suspect that most places are using a small group of suppliers for bedding plants etc and I wouldn't buy them unseen.

I think that snowdrops in the green are likely to be ok.

I have bought from them in the past, but quite some time ago, and it was shrubs and climbers - they were good value. image

Might be worth checking the prices against eurobulbs. I haven't checked but my collection from euro was pretty cheap though some years ago.

..The Guardian does use J Parker bulbs as it's garden centre.... you can go on their website and order direct from them.. same prices.... also option of double snowdrops but they cost a fair bit more....

I used eurobulbs last week ( wisbech based) for that reason.  20 "free" bulbs for £6 postage wasn't as good as  Eurobulbs £9 for 100 bulbs - and i needed a few.  When i get myself going i will plant mine today - ordered last Sunday, arrived on Thursday, along with some great quality cyclamen.  They get my voteimage

I can recommend Anglia Bulbs for in the green snowdrops, I think they are £9.50 for 100 bulbs inc postage

…. I sent for some stuff from the Guardian, and was horrified when it arrived to find it was Parkers!! Have had several very bad experiences with them in the past - however, the sad looking plugs are trying to grow, and the geraniums too - bulbs appear OK but they are quite hard to do much with I guess.

Nice to see Wisbech mentioned and the nurseries used, I lived there for many years in a previous life.  Perfect part of the world for good bulbs and some excellent companies there growing them.

  • I can recommend   P de Jager & Sons Ltd.

  • do snowdrops double up the next year i have some in my garden in flower really nice.

but the patch dose not seem to be getting any large??????
