My chicklets seem to do a good jobimageimage  Although recently seeing faint evidence of a helping hand or two ( or should that be helping wing?)

My OH and the dog mess it up, but OH is very good with the Hoover. Anyway, housework can be done when it's raining. It's rained a lot this winter though and my house isn't any cleaner!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

  • Never joined and posted on a forum before but having read all these posts about seedaholicisum, they made me giggle, because I can so relate to them, all the shoe boxes of seeds I keep saying one day I'll get round to sowing, but knowing they are so out of date probably be wasting my time, but can't bear to throw away! The seeds I sow that are taking over every windowsill, hoping I'll find a little more space in the garden to fit them in somewhere.

Just can't walk past any seeds in shops without buying some that think I might run out of, after reading the posts about Lidl selling seeds I've been in and wow what a bargain 29p a packet, just had to buy some! Just need to find some more window sill  to put them on, I need a bigger house!

But I'm not a seedahloic............... or am I!

    You are lilly, sorry

When by collection of out of date seeds became too large, boosted by a donation of all MIL's collection, I broadcast them onto the garden. There were loads of different seeds but I got hundreds of radishes

  • Haha, I did the same scattered old seeds in the woods where I regularly walk, few flowers but plenty of lettuce!

Sank to new depths today.  The seeds I gathered from the garden have germinated.  And now I have 'won' a greenhouse on Ebay, I am officially beyond help.  Planning to be the 'mad cat lady' of seedlings.

  • I put my out of date vegetable seeds in a margarine tub on a bit of kitchen towel and what grew was eaten as 'cress'
