  • My name is No Expert and I'm a seedaholic.

No veg seed packet is safe from my addiction.

Now I may not be the worst case on here as my pocket doesn't allow me to purchase all I want, but I'll give hours looking over those beautiful carousels of seed packets in the Co-op, supermarket, hardware, garden center or the 2euro shop.

Last week a trip to the NCT centre in a neighbouring town for to get my car tested turned into a day long excursion to Woodies DIY, Aldi and Lidl. Bought little or nothing but spent hours browesing and examining all those lovely coloured packets.

  • Oh, my! I'm not alone in my addictionimage Now I don't feel quite so bad! Have I shared with you all yet my way of getting loads of seeds cheap? i know I have somewhere on here.

Tesco points. You save up your vouchers, then exchange them for Thompson and Morgan vouchers to spend online. £5 worth of tesco vouchers gives you £15, yes £15 to spend at T&M, and you can use 3 at a time, and only pay for p&p. And, if you have any gift or promotional vouchers you can use those too! And, if you spend £60 in vouchers, the p&p is free too!!!! And, you can even use them for the promotions in mags that T&M do. And, Van Meuwen do it as well now, but I haven't tried them yet.

Now I won't shop anywhere else as I can feed my addiction guilt freeimage

OOPsimage. This is supposed to be a help thread. I should not be encouraging you allimage

Now then, is there ANY single one of you who wants to be cured of this addiction?

    I can't hear you----

I ordered an extra stand for the greenhouse today, complete with 15 seed trays.

Mainly because the benches are already full.image

I wonder if I could get some high level shelves in?

  • It's good to know I am not alone in this! lol

My germination check today revealed that Polemonium brandegeei had germinated. In a while I shall prick them out. Then pot them on. Then they can be planted out to join the dozens that will germinate in the garden with no help from me.

    That's true insanity

My name is Panda, and I am on my way to becoming a seedaholic image

My first attempt at germinating seeds last year was a spectacular flop, of all he seeds planted only 3 plants grew. image

I have not allowed this to dampen my ardour mind you. Got some seeds from the seed thread, got some free from magazines, bought some more. Got a gorgeous box to keep them in. Put them in month order for sowing. Got some more seeds. Put them in the box.

Now I need to have the courage to plant them image

  • imageTeehee, thought I was bad, but compared to you lot, I'm just an amateur image,  Still have quite a lot of packets squirrelled away though, lol.
