in Plants
Good afternoon, I have ordered some hardy geraniums on line today! Because I love them!.....They will be plug plants......what is best, to pot them on, and keep in the conservatory for 2 3 weeks ,,,,, or prepare the soil and put them in? I think I have ordered them too soon? Many thanks Barbara

I would pot them up and keep them in for a while as you said. Plant out when then have made a nice lot of leaves, you will also see where you have put them. I dont think you have bought them too soon, they wil make nice plants by end of Spring.
I'd say plug plants are best potted on and left until they have a decent rootball before planting out Barbara. They're hardy Geraniums as opposed to pelargoniums so you shouldn't need to keep them indoors unless they've been grown undercover and are a bit fragile. Find them a sheltered spot outside, near a wall or similar, and just keep an eye on them for now. By the time the weather warms up a bit they'll be bigger, a bit more robust, and ready for the big outdoors

Many thanks Lyn and Fairygirl.........its so nice to be able to ask a question and get a reply as soon as, thank you both.
It's raining here Barbara - I should be doing something productive indoors but you know how it is - tea and a comfy seat beckon
