Blue moon climber in a pot
Hi
is there a variant of the blue moon rose that can be grown as a climber from within a container? I would like to grow one around my window but the ground is concrete so it would need to be in a container. I just don't know where to get one from - nor what size pot I should use if I find one. The pot will be kind of west facing.
thanks, I'm completely new to roses so don't really know what I'm looking for!

Try this link to the RHS, two online nurseries. sure they will help with the plant and advice on a pot.

There are very few blue climbers or even ramblers - why not try the search facility at the left of this site

and see if you can find anything you like.

That's great Sue - it's always disheartening if someone's set their heart on something only to find it's not available.
Lots of info here on growing climbing roses in containers http://www.rosemagazine.com/pages/containers.asp

That link of Dove's is good. The container must be quite big and roses need more feeding and watering than in the ground. I have several roses in containers, including some small climbers.
