Hi All, I noticed yesterday my trusty sec's my dad gave me many years ago, finally need replacing. They are that old I cannot see the make on them and my dad cannot remember. So anyone got any tried and tested makes they can recommend. Thanks
Felco are a well-known and reliable brand
Definitely Felco. Good quality and designed for left or right handed use depending on model chosen.
Felco if you can afford them. About 9 models to choose from. Iwas give mine as a present about 15 years ago and they are still perfect.
Another Felco vote here
I have one decent pair which I've had for a very long time - Wilkinson Sword - but they're falling apart now. I have small hands and they fit me well. Some makes are too bulky and stiff for me, and make my rubbishy wrists very sore.
I'm always leaving them lying around so I supplement them with cheaper ones in case they disappear for good one day. I have a really cheap pair from Asda which are brilliant!
Hi All, Felco it is then, just been on the online retailer that has the same name as a South American river and I can get a pair for £16 and they do replacement blades
Cricky Mark - that's cheap for Felco a real bargain.
Hi All, I did see some for £40, but I'm only after something for light pruning so I think the £16 (brand new) ones will do me.
I've got my granny's old pair of felco's, you can get replacement blades for them, so you should never need to buy any new secateurs after getting a felco. The red handles mean you're unlikely to misplace them. They come in a variety of sizes to suit different size hands.
