Shredder Bosch AXT2000HP

Had to strip one of these down to replace a part. The part took so long in arriving that the grease in the gear box has dried up. It is a bright green type of grease and no where can I  find the correct type to use when re-assembling the machine.

Anyone any ideas?

This is probably a very stupid thing to say, but I remember swarfega being bright green, and it is a sort of grease.

Berghill, are they plastic gears (might sound daft but hey often are these days)?  If so silicone grease will be OK.  Mineral oil based grease will damage them.

Edit: the reason I ask is that plastic-safe grease is often bright green.

    The gears are metal.

The grease needs to be a high temperature, resistant to centrifugal force type so that when hot it still coats the cogs and does not run down from the gears into the electric motor below.

Same colour as Swarfega, but definitely not.

We are going to a main dealer on Friday (coincidence) so I will ask there.

Lithium grease is what they use, so bought some.

I have just hit banged my head against one of these, minding my own business walking through the garden when all of a sudden BOSCH.
