building a new greenhouse

Hi All,
I'm looking at a project for this spring and have decided to build a new greenhouse.
The main reasons are twofold 1/ I need to re-site existing greenhouse and 2/ I would like a larger one.
I am pretty nifty with a saw and hammer and was thinking of building something like this:

or this

I see that to buy they are pretty expensive but I think I can knock one up for around £1000-£1500.
Currently I have glass to the floor level. Can anyone see a problem with having a 1-2 foot wall? I guess I will be planting directly into the ground but in high summer the shadow should be pretty small.
Have anyone else build similar and got any tips or plans they may want to share?
Thanks

Bluebaron, what were you thinking of planting directly into the ground?
Probably Tomatoes, peppers and maybe cucumbers not sure what else for now.
I would love one like that, it puts the 6x8 metal framed one I've just ordered to shame!!
Wow, love those Woodpecker ones. The price seems to include installation - I wonder if that includes the base and wall? Probably not. I'm still thinking about getting a second one, although I promise I won't knock the old one down!
It was landgirl (not Dove or Lizzie as in my previous post - still trying to remember all the names!) with the beautiful old greenhouse, did you get anyone to help fix it Landgirl, I hope so.
