During a quick reconnaissance mission to check on the state of my soggy garden I spotted one lone beautiful white anemone de caen in an otherwise flooded border. How the corm survived with all the rain we've had I don't know but it just gave me hope that the garden won't be in this state forever. Which plant is getting you through?

I keep checking out my biennial plants sown last year, the slugs have had a little nibble at them but they are still looking good and hopefully can be moved into their final spots in March when I'm usually having to make decisions about culling indoor sown flower seedlings in favour of toms,peppers and chillies because the window ledge is too small.
There's also a patch of self sown foxgloves which slugs haven't found yet, they'll need thinning out again but I'm hopeful of a nice display this year with very little effort.
I've a couple of roses in bud!

My hellebores have big fat flower buds full of promise, and my daphne is just a fraction away from flowering
Wow you aready have snowdrops out?! Where do you live Charlie? I've got some hellebores but no buds yet Chicky, thankfully they aren't flooded. Saw some daffodil shoots poking through today...

I got my snowdrops as small shoots from a very good friend, planted them with bone meal and had enriched the soil so I can only assume they are early because of this. A very welcome sight and very exciting for such a new, novice gardener
