all my plants are in pots, I have green and black fly every where any suggestions as to how I can get rid of them, without using chemicals.

I know it's been a strange year weatherwise, but I'd have thought the winter would have finished off any aphids by now.
When we get a bad aphid infestation in this garden in the summer, I either wash them off with a jet of water from the hosepipe, or brush them off with a small soft brush or my fingers, but usually the bluetits deal with them.
What sort of plants are?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Soapy water sprayed on gets rid of mine and encourage ladybirds and hoverflies is the long term solution both of which will eagerly predate on them.
I read about using old soapy non antibacterial washing up liquid (cooled) in a little spray bottle to coat the leafs while protecting the compost from the worst of it (you could also just but a pit of plastic down). Not sure how it works but it did the trick for my mini orange tree when it ended up covered in green fly last year.
Clarington, water with a few drops of detergent or soap coats the insects with a layer of water and starves them of air long enough to kill them. It drowns them in other words. Simple and effective. Heavy rain does the same thing which is why aphids tend to prefer feeding on the underneath of leaves, so I always try and spray from below.
