pot growing

Hi I wish to get a couple of euphorbia griffithii 'fireglow' but I would like to plant them in a pot. Can they be pot grown

    I don't see why not. this particular one likes to be kept damp but well drained and does well in a slightly shady spot. I've started collecting Euphorbias as there is one for every situation in the garden.

    The only problem with this is the runner root system. Whenever anyone says they want a bit of mine, I wait for it to die down, about now and then dig up a runner. These run just below the surface, rooting as they go. The trick is to carefully coil the runner around a big pot  without damaging the fleshy root. I use florists buckets with holes drilled in the bottom for drainage.
